At this point I tossed my route notes and headed directly for Alter Rd and Jefferson, to shoot a water-front trailer park I shot in 2004. I diverted my direction once along the way to Chalmers, where once stood the face of an apartment building; the balance of the building had been torn down and hauled away, with the exception of the front 6 units... and a large-screen TV on the 3rd floor.

The entire building was now gone.

During the “4 hours in Detroit” exhibition I was shocked to hear that the city had completely razed the multi-acre trailer park I was now driving toward within weeks of seeing the press images. I returned once this past summer to see what was once a war zone completely leveled and nearly stripped bare. When I found the place this morning, the only change was the water level along its shore.
