The family of a 16-year-old girl is pleading for her killer to turn them self in, after her body was found, January 1, beaten and sexually assaulted in an alley on Detroit’s west side.
Dantoya White, a 10th grader at Cody High School, was last seen leaving the Detroit Public Library on December 29.
According to Sergeant Lanesha Jones, a witness to her abduction said, "It didn’t seem right because the young lady was being dragged. The person that was dragging her had one arm around her neck and the other hand covering her mouth. The young lady looked like she was fearing for her life."

Such is the standard media-drum, a bizarre love-hate relationship. On any given day we hear the horrors of the city... and the beauty of the beloved down-town. It's true that most of the city's positive press is reflected down-town; where the tourists and suburbanites "visit". Unlike the rest of the city, where it's population actually lives. Makes you think, huh?
