Now it was nearly 2 hours into my journey and an intermittent sleet was starting to fall. Being a bit more familiar with the area in general put me ahead of schedule, but if the weather turned a little worse I might have to quit for the day, something I definitely did not want to do. My ideal - as in 2004 - was to shoot what I encountered on a single trip, and not orchestrate anything afterward. If I wanted to accomplish something at all today, I’d have to pick up the pace.
